Beryl
Large gems’ family which comes in a variety of many colors. The most famous and most prized is Emerald. Despite its hardness which is high, the Emerald is fragile and it is due to many inclusions (the garden) and internal tensions which characterizes it. Emerals come mainly from Brazil, Colombia(Muzo), Madagascar,…The impregnation of Emeralds by a colorless oil is a common practice and commercially accepted. Aquamarine, Heliodore ( Yellow, Golden Beryl), Morganite (Pink Beryl), Green Beryl, Bixbite ( Red Beryl) are part of the same family. Hardness from 7 to 7,5 on the Mohs scale. Beryls undergo sometimes a heat treatment at low temperature.
